When you Know your Trip is on the Right Track!
Our flight was fairly uneventful and we were excited to finally be in Manchester, England. We were a long way from home and we were excited to reunite with our eldest daughter. We haven’t seen her in two week and she would soon be arriving from Germany. Once we got our luggage, we patiently waited by the gate our daughter would exist. I think the four of us were all giddy and couldn’t wait for her to walk through the door. As a mom, it was super sweet to see her siblings just as, or even more, excited to see their older sister. After much anticipation, our oldest daughter comes walking through the doors and her sisters went running (I mean running) up to her and gave her a huge hug. The family was back together!
You wouldn’t think spending just two weeks in Germany would mature a person, but our 15 year old daughter seemed a bit more grown up. She was communicating on a different level and seemed to really enjoy being around us. Anyone who has a 15 year old will understand what I am talking about. Or just think back when you were a teenager – your parents were the last people you wanted to be speaking to. She was also ignoring her sisters bickering back a forth and not letting it impact her mood.
After we collected her bags, we jumped into a rental car and we were finally on our way for our European vacation. One stop we were excited to make was in Newcastle for a wedding. Before we arrived in Newcastle, we decided to hit a few special spots (Leeds & York).

Leeds, England
Even though we were quickly moving through these magnificent places, we were able to take in some of the rich history. Absolutely stunning! I was also able to capture the rare moment when my daughters were appreciating each other, by holding hands walking down the street, and enjoying there time together. Absolutely priceless!

Special moment between sisters
After a full day of sightseeing, we were on our way to Newcastle. The next day was the wedding so we needed to get some sleep. I was feeling pretty good about the day we had and was looking forward to the rest of our trip. After Newcastle, we were heading to Scotland an our final destination would be London. My husband has done a fantastic job planning ever detail. Stay Tuned!
